Dr. Teresa M. Saunders has been the chiropractor for Whitmore Lake, Michigan for over 36 years. In April of 2014 she moved her practice to a spacious new office to begin another era of providing natural health care there. She specializes in classic, hands-on, full spine and extremity adjusting. “I think it is important to take the time to listen to what each patient has to say”, she says. “I do the best I can for every patient every time they come in.”
Dr. Saunders has the distinction of having graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic twice, once as a Chiropractic Assistant in 1973 and again as a Doctor of Chiropractic in 1979.
Learning From ‘The Greats’
I was fortunate to attend Palmer College of Chiropractic at a time when some of the originators of various chiropractic techniques were still actively teaching their methods. I learned Thompson technique from Dr. Thompson and Gonstead technique from Dr. Gonstead in Mt. Horeb, Wisconsin. I learned the Pierce technique from Dr. Pierce.
Some of my instructors had been teaching since the early days of the profession. I took Chiropractic Philosophy from Dr. Galen Price who was the acknowledged expert on the principals of chiropractic for decades. I took Biology from Dr. Cronk and Neurology from Dr. Schmiedel; tough taskmasters.
I was inspired by experienced practicing doctors like Dr. Fred Barge who would visit campus and take the time to talk with us students.
I am grateful to have had the opportunity to learn from some of ‘The Greats’ in my profession.
